Please read Chapter 15 - "Immigrants and Urbanization" pages 458-465.  As you read please begin to list the MAJOR THEMES of Section 1 - "The New Immigrants" Label these themes at the TOP of your outline. Your job is to create an outline from Section I - "The New Immigrants."  Your outline should NOT be a paragraph-format, but should be numbered, bullet-pointed, highlighted, bolded, and underlined words or phrases that highlight the key ideas from this section.

1. Go to the Vietnam War Digital History "The Meaning of the Vietnam War" - What do you think is the meaning behind the Vietnam War.  Summarize your thoughts and give me a thesis statement/major argument about the Vietnam War.

2. Go to Ho Chi Minh - Who was this man? What impact did he have for the Vietnamese during the Vietnam War? Do you think he was a hero or a instigator? Please defend your answer

3. Go to Vietnam War Digital History and click on John F. Kennedy, then LBJ, then Richard Nixon (3 separate links on 3 different Presidents. Make a Graphic Organizer that looks like a T-chart, on one side are the 3 Presidents names (leave plenty of space in-between) and the other side is VIETNAM POLICY. What I want you do do is to use the link above to read about Presidents JFK, LBJ, and Nixon and their policies on the Vietnam War.  Did they increase troops, did a conflict occur while they were President, how did they deal with this crisis, did they make it worse or better?  I am looking for you do address these issues and what role each American President played during the Vietnam War.
